"BORN AGAIN, HOW RICH!"

What The Book Is About

"BORN AGAIN, HOW RICH" is an authorized biographical work that depicts the last tumultuous, dramatic and controversial year in the life of Frankie Ruiz, "The Father of Salsa", the world famous Puerto Rican Salsa singer and cultural icon of Puerto Rico. The author, a personal friend, spiritual christian confidant and fellow member of the same church group provides an inside close up view of the charismatic, talented and troubled singing star in the last year of his life providing significant unknown facts about Frankie during this time.

The fact that Frankie Ruiz was an international singing star is only incidental to this story which is not about a famous entertainer and his exploits. This is a story about a sinner saved by the grace and mercy of God at the end of his turbulent rebellious life; a wayward and sinful life which he renounces and expresses his regret at having lived in his testimony and last recording and major hit, "Vuelvo a Nacer".

This then is the crux of the story: Frankie's deliverance and salvation from addiction to drugs and alcohol and the evil spirits of satan's santeria, a bizarre witchcraft type cult he joined out of desperation and naivete' as he sought help. By Jehovah's power and mercy Frankie was converted into a new man; humbled, repented, faithful to Jesus Christ. Frankie referred to this conversion of his life in his song "Vuelvo a Nacer" when he sings..."God woke me up - if you only know that I am new!"

Frankie Ruiz passed away into Jesus hands August 9 1998 in eternal salvation, peace and dignity.
